Stimac‘s double-double lands him Player of the Week award

29-year old center Vladimir Stimac (210-C-87) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Besiktas and receives a Player of the Week award for round 11.
He had a double-double of 18 points and 15 rebounds, while his team beat Banvit BK (#4, 8-3) 80-69. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Besiktas is placed at 2nd position in Turkish league. They are still close to the very top. Besiktas would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 9-2 record. Stimac turned to be Besiktas' top player in his first season with the team. Stimac has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 16.4ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 9.7rpg) and averages solid 73.2% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Konstantinos Sloukas (197-G-90) of Fenerbahce. He is Greek guard in his 2nd season at Fenerbahce. In the last game Sloukas recorded impressive 26 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. It was enough for Fenerbahce to edge the lower-ranked Gaziantep (#14, 3-8) by 4 points 102-98. Fenerbahce's 3rd position in the standings has not changed. His team lost just two games this season, while they won 9 matches. Sloukas is well-known at Fenerbahce and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.
