Efes swaps Korkmaz for Mutaf

Anadolu Efes Istanbul has acquired swingman Can Maxim Mutaf on loan from fellow Turkish club Banvit Bandirma for the remainder of the season in exchange for young guard Furkan Korkmaz. Mutaf (1.93 meters, 25 years old) averaged 8.7 points and 2.2 rebounds in 11 Turkish League games this season. He has also spent four seasons in the EuroLeague with Fenerbahce Istanbul, during which he appeared in a total of seven games. Mutaf has also played for Mersin BSB., Pinar Karsiyaka and Trabzonspor, all in Turkey, and suited up for the Turkish national team at both the junior and senior levels.

Korkmaz (2.02 meters, 19 years old) appeared in two EuroLeague games for Efes this season, which is his third with the club. He has averaged 6.6 points in 10 Turkish League games too. Korkmaz has won a trio of medals for Turkey at junior events, including a gold medal at the U18 European Championships and a bronze at the U19 World Championship, the latter of which saw him earn a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
