Champs re-sign Datome to three-year deal
Turkish Airlines EuroLeague champion Fenerbahce Dogus Istanbul reached an agreement with small forward Luigi Datome that will keep him at the club for three more years, the club announced Wednesday. Datome previously played five EuroLeague seasons with Virtus Rome and Montepaschi Siena, and also played for Legea Scafati in Italy, Boston and Detroit of the NBA and Grand Rapids of the D-League. He helped Siena win an Italian League title in 2004 and is a regular member of his national team. In 107 EuroLeague career games, Datome has amassed 940 points (8.8 ppg.) and 391 rebounds (3.7 rpg.). He ranks fourth all-time in free throw accuracy at 90.7% (147-of-162).
