Fenerbahce clinches third straight Turkish title

Fenerbahce Dogus Istanbul routed Tofas Bursa 94-64 on Wednesday to win the Turkish League championship for the third consecutive season. Fenerbahce won the best-of-seven series in five games. The hosts used great defense to take control, holding Tofas to just 12 first-quarter points. Brad Wanamaker scored 8 points in a 16-1 Fenerbahce run to finish the second quarter, which gave the hosts a 45-26 halftime lead from which Tofas never recovered. The lead grew throughout the fourth quarter, peaking at 32 late as Fenerbahce cruised to victory. Ahmet Duverioglu dominated with 19 points on 8-of-9 shooting plus 9 rebounds, Wanamaker finished with 11 points and Egehan Arna added 10 for Fenerbahce, for which all 12 players scored and collected at least 1 rebound. Pierria Henry recorded 17 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists in defeat and Kenny Kadji added 12 points.
