Afyon adds Elegar to their roster

Afyon Belediyespor (BSL) added to their roster 31-year old Virgin Islander ex-international center Frank Elegar (208-108kg-86). He is a dual citizen owning also U.S. Virgin Islands passport. Elegar played last summer at HBC Sicklerville (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year. The last season Elegar played at Lokomotiv in Russian league where in 21 Eurocup games he had 9.9ppg, 6.2rpg and 1.0spg. He also played 24 games in VTB United League where he recorded 11.4ppg and 5.8rpg. A very spectacular season in his career as he was named to VTB United League All-Star Game where won Slam Dunk Contest.

In 2008 Elegar was drafted by Albany Patroons (CBA) in fourth round (16th overall).
He attended Drexel University and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Elegar won Estonian League championship title for two years in a row (2013 and 2014). He was also voted All-Estonian League Import Player of the Year back in 2014. Elegar was a member of U.S. Virgin Islands Senior National Team between 2006 and 2016.
