Fenerbahce beats Efes in final

Fenerbahc Beko Istanbul celebrated winning the Turkish Cup for the first time in three years on Sunday in Ankara. Gigi Datome starred with 22 points and 7 rebounds and Kostas Sloukas produced 19 points and 9 assists to lead Fenerbahce past crosstown rival Anadolu Efes Istanbul 80-70. Efes led for much of the first half, held a slim lead late in the third and was tied with Fenerbahce at 61-61 early in the fourth. Datome and Sloukas combined for 9 points, 2 assists and 1 steal in a 12-2 run that broke the game open at 73-63 and Efes never got closer than 7 the rest of the way. Team captain Melih Mahmutoglu scored 10 points for the winners. Adrien Moerman posted 18 points and 8 rebounds, Vasilije Micic scored 16 and Bryant Dunston 15 in the loss.
