Efes pick up stretch forward Peters

Anadolu Efes Istanbul bolstered its frontcourt by signing stretch power forward Alec Peters to a one-year deal, the club announced Monday. Peters (2.06 meters, 24 years old) arrives from CSKA Moscow, where he averaged 5.3 points on 43.3% three-point shooting and 89.3% free throw accuracy in 36 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games last season, his first in the competition. He helped CSKA win its eighth EuroLeague title by beating his new team, Efes, in the championship game. Peters also won the VTB United League trophy with CSKA. He played college basketball at Valparaiso University and made his professional debut with Phoenix in the NBA. Peters also played for Northern Arizona of the D-League before joining CSKA.
